Preliminary scope of work
Analýza fungování dětské práce a její efekty na pracovním trhu.
Preliminary scope of work in English
In our modern society, there is a silent moral consensus that child labour is wrong and we
should combat it at all costs.

However, there is rationality in the behaviour of the children, but more importantly their
parents, or guardians, to send them to work rather than to school. In this work I will focus on
developing countries and especially on those families there, which face the decision of
wheather to send their offspring to work, or to school. Part of the purpose of this thesis is thus
to uncover the arguments, which speak in favour of child labour compared to schooling.

Furthermore, I intend to determine the effects, which have been brought about by the presence
of child labour in the workforce, to the labour market. Especially I am interested in finding
implications for the society as a whole. This would be the second purpose of this thesis.
