Preliminary scope of work

Cílem práce je zachytit změny ve zpravodajství televize Prima a to od nástupu šéfredaktorky zpravodajství a publicistiky Jitky Obzinové. Ta se postu ujala 1. srpna 2009. Důležité jsou pro zpravodajství Primy následující dva roky, kdy šla doslova proti proudu tradiční struktury hlavní zpravodajské relace. Pod vedením Jitky Obzinové vznikl hodinový informační blok plný zpráv. Přinesl s sebou ale zrušení moderovaného počasí a začlenění sportovních zpráv do hlavní zpravodajské relace. Ve své práci ale navíc zhodnotím zpravodajství Primy za doby šéfredaktora Pavla Zuny. Neboť si dovoluji tvrdit, že právě jeho styl vedení zpravodajství byl hlavním důvodem jeho odvolání a startovacím okamžikem pro další změny, kterými zpravodajství Primy prošlo. Cílem bakalářské práce nemá být pouhé zmapování změn, ale i získání odpovědi na otázku, jak je veřejnost, televizní diváci, se změnami spokojena. I přesto, že sledovanost může vypovídat o změnách kladně, názory jednotlivých diváků pozitivní být nemusí.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the changes in the news reportingof TV Prima since Jitka Obzinová became the editor-in-chief of its newscast on1st August 2009. Following two years were the crucial ones for TVPrima news as Ms. Obzinová decided to break the conventional structure of themain news bulletin. As a result an hour-long information block full of news wasdeveloped under the lead of Ms. Obzinová. This, however, meant the suppression ofanchored weather forecast and the inclusion of sport news into the main newsbulletin. In my thesis, I will similarly assess the newscast of TV Prima duringthe leading of Pavel Zuna as a editor-in chief (2007 - 2009). I dare toclaim that it was exactly his style of leading and the working practices herequired that were at the origins of his dismissal which also meant the turningpoint for the prospective changes of TV Prima newscast in general. The goal ofthis bachelor thesis is not only the analysis of the changes in the newscastbut also the investigation how the audience, the viewers, appreciate thesechanges. Despite the rating figures suggesting audience's satisfaction, individualviews of viewers might provide a different picture.
