Accent on actors in regional development - role of specialized institutions (RDA etc.) and public sector in interactions with private subjects. Combination of quantitative and qualitative analyses - creation of a typology of regions and detailed studies of selected typical or specific cases. Geographical coverage: post-communist countries in middle, eastern and southeastern Europe.
