Guidelines

Hlavním tématem bude studium struktury a aproximačních vlastností lokálně volných modulů. Toto téma je zajímavé z řady hledisek: zobecňuje klasické téma Mittag-Lefflerových modulů pocházející z algebraické geometrie (články Raynauda a Grusona [9] a Drinfelda [3]), používá moderní metody vychylující teorie (část III monografie [2]) i množinově teoretické metody (kapitoly IV, VII a XII monografie [1]). Východiskem budou nedávné výsledky a otevřené problémy z článků [4]-[8] a preprintu [10].

Po seznámení se se základy problematiky bude uchazeč nejprve zkoumat důležité speciální případy (ploché Mittag-Lefflerovy moduly nad regulárními okruhy apod.), možnosti rozšíření některých metod dostupných v současné době jen pro spočetné okruhy resp. algebry na nespočetný případ, a obecněji rozšíření teorie skoro volných grup na lokálně volné moduly. Svoji práci bude kromě školitele konzultovat s dalšími odborníky v dané oblasti na MFF UK, UA Barcelona, aj.

Výsledky rešerší i vlastní práce uchazeče budou nejprve prezentovány na algebraickém semináři na MFF, a později na seminářích a konferencích v zahraničí.

Preliminary scope of work

Hlavním tématem bude studium struktury a aproximačních vlastností lokálně volných modulů. Toto téma je zajímavé z řady hledisek: zobecňuje klasické téma Mittag-Lefflerových modulů pocházející z algebraické geometrie (články Raynauda-Grusona a Drinfelda), používá moderní metody vychylující teorie i množinově teoretické metody. Východiskem budou výsledky a otevřené problémy z nedávných článků školitele, S.Bazzoni, D.Herbera, J.Šťovíčka a dalších, publikované mj. v Advances in Mathematics a Forum Mathematicum.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The main topic here will be to study the structure and approximation properties of locally free modules. This topic is of interest from several points of view: it generalizes the classic topic of Mittag-Leffler modules coming from algebraic geometry (in the papers of Raynaud-Gruson and Drinfeld), it employs the methods of tilting theory as well as the set-theoretic ones. The main sources will be the results and open problems in the recent papers by the advisor, S.Bazzoni, D.Herbera, J.Šťovíček, et al. published in the Advances in Mathematics and Forum Mathematicum.
