Preliminary scope of work
The aim of the thesis is to contribute to an emerging field of anthropology of services and offer an insight into the way the services work in the Post-Communist Czech Republic. The thesis will draw upon a field research conducted over the period of 4 months among workers in one of Prague?s famous luxury restaurants. Participant observation, in-depth interviews and textual analysis of popular service-related sources shall be the primary methods of the research.
