Preliminary scope of work |
Pod teplotou lambda přechodu je kapalné helium supratekuté a jeho makroskopické proudění je charakterizováno přítomností kvantovaných vírů. Jejich množství a dynamiku lze studovat pomocí druhého zvuku; teplotních vln vznikajících vstřícnými oscilacemi hustot normální a supratekuté složky He II. Druhý zvuk interaguje s kvantovanými víry a měření jeho tlumení představuje unikátní metodu detekce kvantové turbulence pomocí měření hustoty kvantovaných vírů. Spolu s pochopením základů této metodiky půjde o praktická měření a experimentální studium zadaného proudění. |
Preliminary scope of work in English |
Below the lambda-transition liquid helium becomes superfluid and its macroscopic flow is characterized by the presence of quantized vortices. Their number density and dynamics can be studied using so-called second sound, which represents oscillations of the normal fluid and superfluid fractions of He II against each other. Second sound interacts with quantized vortices and its attenuation represents a unique detection method of quantum turbulence via measurement of the vortex line density. Hand in hand with theoretical understanding of this detection method practical measurements and experimental investigation of selected flow will be performed. |
