Guidelines

Bakalářská práce se zaměří na novogotickou rekonstrukci Vlašského dvora, realizovanou v letech 1893-1898 pod vedením architekta Ludvíka Láblera. Hlavním cílem bude popis architektonické podoby objektu před regotizací a následná detailní analýza dobových ohlasů na provedenou rekonstrukci. Při studiu budou prameny podrobovány kritice a komparovány. Dále dojde k analýze vizuálních a písemných pramenů, a to kreseb a maleb, historických fotografií, modelu a novinových článků. Významným dílem budu čerpat z fondů Českého muzea stříbra a Státního oblastního archivu v Kutné Hoře. Informace získané z primárních pramenů budou podloženy odbornými publikacemi a relevantními výsledky doposud zrealizovaných výzkumů. V závěru práce bude zhodnocen architektonický počinu Ludvíka Láblera v rámci památkové péče na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Cílem mé práce je obohatit dosavadní výzkum o detailnější analýzu dostupných pramenů, které se zabývají stavem a rekonstrukcí Vlašského dvora, a jejich systematické ucelení.

Preliminary scope of work

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na Vlašský dvůr jako původně gotickou památku, jejíž funkce a architektonická podoba se v průběhu dějin měnily, zejména v důsledku její novogotické rekonstrukce na konci 19. století. Teoretická část práce se věnuje historickému vývoji Vlašského dvora a kontextu historizujících přestaveb na území Kutné Hory. Hlavní důraz je kladen na popis podoby Dvora před jeho regotizací, a to s přihlédnutím na slohové vrstvy stavby. Součástí práce je dále analýza dobových reakcí na tuto regotizaci, včetně kritiky i obhajoby. Zároveň je v textu zhodnocena míra citlivosti této rekonstrukce vůči původním architektonickým komponentům stavby.

This study examines the Italian court as an originally Gothic monument whose function and architectural appearance have evolved over time. The theoretical section of the thesis will explore the historical development of the Italian court and the broader context of historicist reconstructions in Kutná Hora. The primary focus will be on describing the appearance of the complex before its Neo-Gothic reconstruction, with particular attention to the architectural layers of the building. Additionally, the thesis will analyze contemporary reactions to the reconstruction, including both criticism and defense of the project. Furthermore, the study will assess the extent to which the reconstruction was sensitive to the building’s original architectural components.

Preliminary scope of work in English

This bachelor's thesis will focus on the Neo-Gothic reconstruction of the Italian court, carried out between 1893 and 1898 under the supervision of architect Ludvík Lábler. The primary objective is to describe the architectural form of the building before the process of regothicization and to subsequently conduct a detailed analysis of contemporary reactions to the reconstruction. Throughout the study, sources will be subjected to critical evaluation and comparative analysis. Emphasis will be placed on examining visual and written sources, including drawings and paintings, historical photographs, models, and newspaper articles. A significant portion of the research will draw from the collections of the Czech Museum of Silver and the State Regional Archive in Kutná Hora. Information obtained from primary sources will be supported by scholarly publications and relevant findings from previously conducted research. The final part of the thesis will evaluate Ludvík Lábler’s architectural work in the context of heritage conservation at the turn of the 19th and 20th century. The aim of this thesis is to enhance existing research by providing a more detailed analysis of available sources and their systematic synthesis.
