Guidelines

Předmětem bakalářské práce je analýza dopadů zásadních socio-ekonomických procesů prvních tří dekád 20. století na rolnickou rodinu Hurychových ve Východních Čechách. Tématicky se práce zaměřuje na předválečnou zemědělskou stagnaci, období první světové války, poválečnou agrární krizi a Velkou hospodářskou krizi. Cílem této práce je ilustrovat na příkladu jednoho kolektivu konkrétní podobu dopadů uvedených událostí na každodenní život této rodiny.
Práce se zabývá nejenom hospodářskými otázkami této rodiny, jako jejich ekonomickou situací, ročním pracovním cyklem, či úrovní zemědělské produkce a technizace výroby. Zaměřuje se také na sociální aspekt fungování této rolnické rodiny, jako role jednotlivých členů rodiny, rodinné vztahy a svazky, jejich postavení v místní komunitě, nebo mezigenerační předání majetku.
Těchto cílů práce dosahuje užitím zejména komparativní metody a biografické metody. Použita je také strukturní analýza sociálního rozvrstvení v dané lokalitě, či hermeneutický výklad vybraných pramenů. Práce čerpá především z odborné literatury a dochovaných primárních zdrojů, jako dobové korespondence členů rodiny, či materiálů úřední povahy, které jsou v držení rodiny Hurychových. Cenné poznatky vyplynuly také z archivních zdrojů z okresního archivu Svitavy a výpovědí pamětníků z rodiny Hurychových.

The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is an analysis of the impacts of significant socio-economic processes during the first three decades of the 20th century on the Hurych farming family in Eastern Bohemia. Thematically, the thesis focuses on pre-war
agricultural stagnation, the period of the First World War, the post-war agrarian crisis, and the Great Depression. The aim of this study is to illustrate, through the example of one specific collective, the exact ways in which these events affected the daily life of this family.
The thesis addresses not only the economic aspects of the family’s existence, such as their financial situation, annual work cycles, levels of agricultural production, and technological advancements in farming. It also delves into the social dynamics of the family’s functioning, including the roles of individual family members, familial relationships and bonds, their standing within the local community, and the intergenerational transfer of property.
These objectives are achieved primarily through the use of comparative and biographical methods. The thesis also employs structural analysis of social stratification in the given locality and hermeneutic interpretation of selected sources. The research draws upon scholarly literature and preserved primary sources, such as correspondence between family members and official documents held by the Hurych family. Valuable insights were also gained from archival materials from the Svitavy district archive and testimonies from the Hurych family members.
