Guidelines
This bachelor's thesis explores geoengineering techniques in the stratosphere, specifically the method of chlorine addition for methane removal. The thesis will include an introduction to the principles of this method, its advantages and potential risks, and the processing of model experiments (using the WACCM4 model within the ARISE or GLENS projects). The aim is to analyze the effects of chlorine addition on climatic conditions.

Preliminary scope of work
Preliminary scope of work in English
The method of adding chlorine to the stratosphere for methane removal is an innovative approach to reducing greenhouse gases. This technique focuses on using chemical reactions to remove methane, a significant greenhouse gas, from the atmosphere. Students will analyze model experiments simulating the efficiency and impacts of this method on climate conditions. This thesos will provide insight into how chemical intervention can help reduce greenhouse gases and what other implications it has.
