The stealth strategy game is a popular genre. These games require a fine-tuned environment, characters and enemies resulting in almost a puzzle-like player experience. Creating such a setting is very resource-consuming.
The focus of the thesis is the creation of a generic stealth strategy game and comparing manually created levels to procedurally generated ones. The method of procedural generation will be evolutionary algorithms. The aim of the thesis is to establish some theoretical applicability of evolutionary algorithms within the genre. The results will also be compared to existing works on procedural content generation techniques in gaming. |
