Guidelines
The goal of this project is to understand how lateral interactions in cortical visual neural networks (primarily V1) shape the dynamic recurrent activity both during spontaneous, visually evoked and externally evoked (primarily optogenetically evoked condition. This project will involve:
(a) developing the necessary improvements of existing detailed large scale model of primary visual cortex [1] to model the three target conditions
(b) developing the various visual or external stimulation protocols to reproduce experimental design in reference in-vivo studies
(c) develop analysis to assess the emergence of the target phenomena in the V1 model and formulate predictions
