Guidelines

Mezi lety 2015–16 postihla Evropu tzv. migrační krize, také nazývaná krizí uprchlickou, v jejímž důsledku do západní a severní Evropy přišlo na 1 až 2 miliony uprchlíků. Situace přinesla značná úskalí pro lidi opouštějící svou domovinu, ale i pro evropskou společnost.
Bakalářská práce se zabývá migračním umění, které odděluje od umění vzniklé v reakci na podněty vyvolané uprchlickou krizí. Text je vykonstruován na analýze jednotlivých děl, u kterých zkoumá různorodé přístupy –⁠ estetický, dokumentaristický, aktivistický, spektakulárně šokující. Z mezinárodního prostředí se následně stahuje do prostředí českého, kde se především zaměřuje na výstavu Strach z neznámého z roku 2017, jejíž kurátorkou byla Lenka Kukurová.

Between 2015 and 2016, Europe was affected by the so-called migration crisis, also known as the refugee crisis, during which 1 to 2 million refugees arrived in Western and Northern Europe. This situation brought significant challenges for the people leaving their homelands as well as for European society.
This bachelor’s thesis deals with migration art, distinguishing it from art created in response to stimuli triggered by the refugee crisis. The text is constructed on the analysis of individual works, examining various approaches – aesthetic, documentary, activist, and spectacularly shocking. From the international environment, the focus then narrows to the Czech context, particularly concentrating on the exhibition "Strach z neznámého" ("Fear of the Unknown") from 2017, curated by Lenka Kukurová.
