Preliminary scope of work
Rešeršní práce má za hlavní cíl zmapvat vliv topologie DNA na transkripci u bakterií. Tato problematika bude zasazena do širšího kontextu genové exprese. Student popíše klíčové hráče transkripce, jejich parametry a v detailu se soustředí na vliv stavu DNA šroubovice na regulaci transkripce, zejm. transkripční iniciace. Tato práce je motivována paralelním experimentálním projektem adresujícím toto téma, na kterém bude student pracovat.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The main aim of this Bachelor Thesis (BT) will be a review of the literature focusing on the effects of DNA topology on transcription in bacteria. This topic will be discussed in the wider context of gene expression. The student will describe key players of the process, their parameters, and will focus in detail on the effects of supercoiling on transcription, especially on transcription initiation. This BT will provide a background for a parallel experimental project of the student.
