| Tato práce se zabývá vývojem britské zahraniční politiky po válce Iráku, zkoumáním, jak se
vyvíjel politický diskurz ohledně humanitárních intervencí v průběhu času. Práce si klade za cíl analyzovat vybrané projevy britských premiérů při rozhodování o vojenských intervencích a srovnání zvolených přístupů. V teoretické částí se píše o kontextu britské politiky a zkoumání konceptů diskurzu dle kritické diskurzivní analýzy. V praktické části jsou zkoumány konkrétní diskurzivní strategie a rétorika použitá k normalizaci války a k podpoře humanitární intervence na vybraných textech přepsaných projevů. Cílem práce je ukázat, jak se vyvíjela britská zahraniční politika prostřednictvím rozboru diskurzu o humanitárních intervencích a jaký vliv měla válka v Iráku na tento vývoj. |

| This thesis examines the development of British foreign policy in the aftermath of the Iraq
War, exploring how political discourse on humanitarian intervention has evolved over time. The thesis aims to analyze selected speeches made by British prime ministers when making decisions about military interventions and to compare the approaches taken. The theoretical part describes the context of British politics and examines concepts of discourse according to critical discourse analysis. The practical part examines the specific discursive strategies and rhetoric used to normalize war and to support humanitarian intervention using selected texts of transcribed speeches. The aim of the thesis is to show how British foreign policy has evolved through an analysis of the discourse on humanitarian intervention and how the Iraq war has influenced this development. |
