Preliminary scope of work

Bakalářská práce pojednává o cenzuře tisku ve Francii v demokratickém systému po druhé světové válce. Odpovídá na otázku, jak cenzura v tuto dobu ve Francii vypadala. V první části jsou představeny různé pohledy na cenzuru, její definice, druhy a proměny v průběhu historie, které dávají základ pro pochopení komplexního fenoménu cenzury. Definice cenzury je pak aplikována v druhé části v přehledové studii. Druhá část nabízí pohled na průběh a podobu cenzury ve Francii během války v Alžírsku a následně na přelomu 60. a 70. let 20. století. Nejdříve uvádí čtenáře do historického kontextu. Následně se celá práce zaměřuje výhradně na tisk, který byl cenzurován především ze strany vlády, armády a kontrolních úřadů. Popisuje celý proces cenzurování včetně zabavování výtisků, finančních pokut či zákazu publikace. V závěru jsou shrnuty projevy cenzury preventivní, tak i následné. Cenzura je přítomná i v demokratickém systému, ovšem již v méně nápadné podobě, a proto se stává nebezpečnější. Od 80. let 20. století ve Francii již převládá svoboda tisku bez výraznější kontroly.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The Bachelor thesis is about press censorship in France in the democratic system after the Second World War. It answers the question of what censorship looked like in France at this time. The first part presents different perspectives on censorship, its definitions, types and transformations throughout history, which provide the basis for understanding the complex phenomenon of censorship. The definition of censorship is then applied in the second part of the review study. The second part offers a look at the course and form of censorship in France during the Algerian war and subsequently at the turn of the 1960s and 1970s. First, it puts the reader in a historical context. Subsequently, the entire work focuses exclusively on the press, which has been censored mainly by the government, the military, and the audit offices. It describes the whole process of censorship, including confiscation of copies, financial penalties, or publication ban. In conclusion, the acts of censorship are summarized both preventive and consequential. Censorship is also present in the democratic system, but already in a less conspicuous form, and therefore becomes more dangerous. Since the 1980s, freedom of the press has already prevailed in France without much scrutiny.
