Preliminary scope of work

Politická korektnost, aktivismus a „cancel culture jsou jevy, které aktuálně ovlivňují život západní společnosti. Média denně informují o nekorektních výrocích, nevhodných poznámkách apod. Minority tak mají v dnešní době konečně možnost bojovat za rovnoprávnost a svoji důstojnost. Lidé jiné barvy pleti, sexuální orientace nebo jinak odlišní od dosavadních norem již téměř mají příležitost žít svůj život jako ostatní. Diskriminace sice stále ještě nedovoluje členům některých minorit, aby uzavírali stejnopohlavní sňatky, adoptovali děti nebo darovali krev, ale situace se v současnosti v mnohém zlepšila. Politická korektnost a aktivismus bezpochyby udává směr kupředu. Otázkou však je, kde leží ona pomyslná hranice, kdy se z aktivismu a politické korektnosti stává namísto nástrojů užitečných pro vývoj moderní společnosti nástroj pomsty a útlaku.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Political correctness, activism and "cancel culture" are phenomena that are currently influencing the life of Western society. The media report daily on incorrect statements, inappropriate remarks, etc. Minorities nowadays finally have the opportunity to fight for equality and their dignity. People of a different colour, sexual orientation or otherwise different from traditional norms almost have the opportunity to live their lives like everyone else. Yet discrimination still prevents members of some minorities from, for example, entering into same-sex marriages, adopting children or donating blood. However, the situation has improved in many ways in the modern age. Political correctness and activism are undoubtedly setting the direction forward. The question is, however, where that imaginary line lies where activism and political correctness becomes a tool of revenge and oppression instead of a tool useful for the development of modern society.
