Preliminary scope of work

Práce je zacílena na analýzu vztahů mezi vícečetnými příčinami smrti a na analýzu procesu úmrtnosti s jejich využitím. Součástí by mělo být i vytvoření ,,komplexního systému příčin smrti” a zhodnocení jeho přínosu pro analýzu úmrtnosti. Základním datovým zdrojem budou microdata dostupná na webu CDC. Použitými metodami budou analýza sítí a klasické nástroje demografické analýzy úmrtnosti (úmrtnostní tabulky, standardizovaný index úmrtnosti, dekompozice a další).

Preliminary scope of work in English

The purpose of the thesis is the analysis of cause of death relations and mortality analysis with the application of multiple causes of death. As a part of the thesis a complex cause of death network should be constructed and evaluated. The CDC Multiple Cause of Death datafiles will be used. In the thesis, the methods of network analysis, as well as methods of demographic analysis (life tables, standardized mortality ratio, decomposition methods etc.) will be applied.
