Preliminary scope of work

Cílem této práce je představit pojetí Ježíšovy smrti u německého biblisty Gerharda Lohfinka (*1934, Frankfurt nad Mohanem). I když se tento teolog původně věnoval pouze pracím z odvětví novozákonní biblistiky, především v jeho posledním díle lze spatřovat velký přesah do dogmatické teologie. Hermeneutickým klíčem, kterým Lohfink přistupuje k reflexi Ježíšova života, je starozákonní pozadí a Kristovo hluboké ukotvení v identitě příslušníka Božího lidu – Izraele. V práci postupně představím základní linie Lohfinkova přístupu k Ježíši z Nazareta, dále ukáži, jak tento teolog pojímá Ježíšovu smrt, kterou zasazuje do rámce oběti za Izrael, a konečně provedu syntézu, zhodnocení a další systematické rozvedení Lohfinkovy interpretace Ježíšovy smrti. Toto téma spadá především do oblasti christologie, práce přesto bude mít velký přesah do dalších systematických disciplín, především soteriologie a ekleziologie.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The aim of this thesis is the presentation of the meaning of Jesus‘ death for German biblical scholar Gerhard Lohfink (*1934, Frankfurt am Main). This German theologian used to focus on biblical thesis but in the last years he has started to promote lot of systematic topics in his works. The fundamental hermeneutical access to Jesus‘ life for Lohfink is the Old Testament area and Christ himself rooted in the identity of member of the People of God – the Israel. First, I present the basic structure of Lohfink’s very own thinking about Jesus of Nazareth. Then I focus on his understanding of Jesus‘ death as the sacrifice for the Israel. And finally, I do synthesis, evaluation and my own development of Lohfink’s interpretation of Jesus‘ death. The aim of this thesis is mostly Christological, but the text will be also concentrated about other systematic topics, especially soteriology and ecclesiology.
