Preliminary scope of work

Bakalářská práce se zabývá mediální prezentací jomkipurské války v deníku Rudé právo a Mladá fronta v Československé socialistické republice.
Stěžejním cílem je zjistit, jak se kontrola a cenzura Komunistickou stranou Československa projevovala při informování o událostech jomkipurské války a vývoji československé zahraniční politiky. Nejprve na základě historického výzkumu sekundárních zdrojů budou popsány podmínky, kvůli kterým k válečnému střetu došlo a jsou vytyčeny stěžejní události. Práce je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu, který propojuje historický kontext a obsahovou analýzu určených tiskovin. V případě obsahové analýzy pak autorka využila diskurzivní analýzy.
Cílem této bakalářské práce je vytvořit ucelený obraz vybraných událostí krize ve výše uvedených denících od 6.října 1973 do 11. listopadu 1973. Takto sestavená osnova se poté stane opěrným bodem pro vyhledání odborných informací z tehdejších periodik a referováním, zda o nich bylo psáno pravdivě a nezaujatě.
Bakalářská práce je na základě odborné literatury doplněna o tehdejší československou zahraniční politiku vůči Izraeli a Egyptu. Jádrem práce je vlastní analýza celkové argumentace a názorů v tehdejších textech, která je konfrontována se současnou dějinnou interpretací.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The bachelor thesis deals with the media coverage of the Yom Kippur War and the oil shock in the newspapers Redé Právo and Mladá Fronta.
The main objective is to find out how control and censorship by the Communist Party manifested themselves in the coverage of the events of the Yom Kippur War and the development of foreign policy. First, based on historical research of secondary sources, I will describe the conditions that led to the war conflict and outline the key events. The thesis is based on qualitative research that combines historical context and content analysis of the identified printed materials. In the case of the content analysis, the author then used discursive analysis. The aim of this thesis is to create a comprehensive picture of the selected events of the crisis in each newspaper from October 6, 1973, to November 11, 1973. The outline thus constructed will then become the fulcrum for locating expert information from the periodicals of the time and refereeing whether they were reported truthfully and unbiasedly.
The bachelor's thesis is supplemented by a discussion of Czechoslovak foreign policy towards Israel and Egypt at the time, based on the literature. The core of the thesis is the actual analysis of the overall argumentation and opinions in the texts of the time, which is confronted with the current historical interpretation.
