| Preliminary scope of work |
| The main idea of my work is relied on revealing and analysing the economic situation in Armenia, focusing on the 2018 revolution and the war at the end of 2019 between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The work will analyse how the geopolitical environment affects certain aspects of economy. There are different versions of how Armenia is actually recovering after the rough months of war over the last couple of years.
To illuminate the positive effects of revolution and the side effects of the war many statistical data will be reviewed, obtained by investigating the topic from the inside (living in the country for six months). The research will help to identify the right indicators for both the short and long term, which will be the main factor to draw conclusions and suggest options to change or improve the economic situation in the country. The relevance, relativeness, and importance of the topic to me is the most motivating, which in itself means that all data and analyses will be done carefully. 1. Motivation: The geopolitical situation in South Caucasus and the revolution changed the life and the economy in the region, specifically in Armenia. Referring to historical and economical studies in this part I will show what happened to Armenian’s economy. 2. Studies on economic articles and reports: I will describe how the economy is changing and what are the main findings. 3. Data: I will explain how I will collect data and estimates for analysis. 4. Methods: -------------- 5. Results: Based on my research results, I will discuss further options for improving the economic situation. Concluding remarks: I will summarize my findings and their implications for future research. |
