Guidelines |
In the recent decade, regional climate models have reached resolution high enough to capture cities resulting in the growing number of activities concerning the representation of urban areas within the models. The thesis will focus on the effects of cities on regional climate and, conversely, the effect of climate change on the cities as represented by the urbanized regional climate models. The student will work with regional climate models (e.g. RegCM, WRF), run and analyze simulations in the context of the URB-RCC flagship pilot study of the CORDEX initiative. |
