Preliminary scope of work

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na seniory v čase pandemie onemocnění Covid-19, jak zvládali období pandemie a lockdownů, zda jim v překonání tohoto období pomáhala víra a příslušnost do některého církevního společenství, jak se vypořádali se zákazem konání bohoslužeb a jak uspokojovali své spirituální a sociální potřeby. Popisuje, jak faráři v tomto náročném období pečovali o církevní společenství a jaké byly jejich zdroje odolnosti. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části je popsán pojem stáří, charakteristika seniorské populace, její potřeby, bio-psycho-socio-spirituální proměny ve stáří, církev a její význam pro člověka, informace o onemocnění Covid-19 a spojených protiepidemických opatřeních a dopady izolace na starší lidi. V praktické části je popsán kvalitativní výzkum provedený technikou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů se seniory a faráři některých plzeňských církví.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Bachelor thesis focuses on the elderly people during the Covid-19 pandemic. It investigates how they managed the time of pandemic and lockdown, if their faith and membership in a church congregation helped them get over this period, how they handled the ban of church meetings and services, and how they satisfied their spiritual and social needs. It describes, how pastors in the demanding period carried about their communities and what was their source of resilience. The thesis has a theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part the term of age, characterization of senior population, their needs, the bio-psycho-socio-spiritual changes during ageing, church and its importance for human, information about the Covid-19 illness and responding antiepidemic precautions and consequences of isolation on the elderly are described. In the practical part the qualitative research carried out using semi-structured interviews with seniors and pastors of some denominations in Pilsen is described.
