Preliminary scope of work

Důležitost technologie a nových médií se projevila zejména během vypuknutí epidemie virového onemocnění covid-19, kdy byly v několika vlnách na základě přísných nařízení vlády odděleny rodiny i mnohé páry, které spolu nesdílely domácnost. Sociální sítě proto poskytovaly mnohdy jedinou možnost, jak alespoň částečně udržovat kontakt se svými blízkými.

Tématem práce jsou proměny užívání nových médií a jejich role v partnerských vztazích. Práce se zaměří na to, jak spolu partneři komunikují, jak velký důraz kladou na soukromí a jak prezentují svůj partnerský vztah na sociálních sítích. V rámci teoretické části budou představeny výhody a nevýhody jejich užití plynoucí z aktuálních a relevantních studií a výzkumů. Předpokládaným cílem je pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s respondenty z řad generace Z, zjistit, jakým způsobem se proměnilo užívání sociálních sítí a jak ovlivňují partnerské vztahy.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The importance of technology and new media became particularly apparent during the outbreak of COVID-19, when families and many couples, who did not share a household, were separated in several waves under strict government restrictions. Therefore, social networks often provided the only way to at least partially maintain contact with their loved ones.

The theme of this bachelor thesis is the transformation in the usage of new media and their role in romantic relationships. The thesis will focus on how partners communicate with each other, how much emphasis they place on privacy and how they present their romantic relationship on social networks. The theoretical part will present the advantages and disadvantages of their use resulting from current and relevant studies and research. The expected goal is to use semi-structured interviews with respondents from the generation Z to find out how the use of social networks has changed and how they affect romantic relationships.
