Preliminary scope of work
The paramo ecosystem in the tropical Andes is young and rapidly diversifying biodiversity hotspot. This thesis will focus on potential drivers of diversification and the influence of potential barriers to gene flow using phylogenomics and population genomics of two Asteraceae lineages, one confined to the paramo ecosystem and one also found at lower elevations.
