Preliminary scope of work

Ústředním tématem práce budou digitální propasti se zaměřením na apekt pohlaví. Pojem digitální propasti odkazuje nejen na rozdíly mezi těmi, kteří přístup k informačním a komunikačním technologiím mají a těmi, kteří nemají, ale také na sociální rozdíly spojené se znalostmi a dovednostmi uživatelů. rozdíly jsou patrné mezi obyvateli měst a venkova, mezi lismi s vyšším a nižším vzděláním ale také mezi pohlavími. Na všechny tyto rozdíly můžeme nahlížet z hlediska globální propasti, která bývá nejčastěji definována geograficky, a z hlediska společenské propasti, kde můžeme pozorovat rozdíly mezi různými sociálními skupinami. Ve své práci se zaměřím právě na aspekt pohlaví s ohledem na využívání a dopad informačních ak omunikačních technologií na ženy. V práci se opřu o některé předešlé výzkumy, které se tématem zabývaly.
Ve své práci se pokusím zjistit do jaké míry pohlaví ovlivňuje digitální propasti v našem prostředí. Budu se ptát na otázky: Jaké mají ženy a muži znalosti a dovednosti práce s informačními a komunikačníi technologiemi? Inspirací mi bude zejména studie Novo-Corti (2014) a Elena-Bucea a kol. (2020) s jejichž výsledk následně srovnám své závěry, ke kterým pomocí výzkumu dojdu.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The main theme of the thesis will be digital gaps with a focus on gender. The concept of the digital divide refers not only to the differences between those who have access to information and communication technologies and those who do not, but also to the social differences associated with users' knowledge and skills. Differences are evident between urban and rural residents, between users with higher and lower education, but also between the males and females. We can observe all these differences in terms of the global gap, which is most often defined geographically, and in terms of the social gap, where we can observe differences between different social groups. In my thesis I will focus on gender aspects with regard to the use and impact of information and communication technologies on women. In my work I will rely on some previous researches that dealt with the topic.
In my work I will find out to what extent the attempted digital divide in our society. I will ask the question: What knowledge and skills do women and men have to work with information and communication technologies? I will be particularly inspired by the studies of Novo-Corti (2014) and Elena-Bucea et al. (2020) I will then compare my conclusions with their results which I will reach with my research.
