| Kriminální zpravodajství nebo zpravodajské služby pro vymáhání práva byly koncipovány pro boj proti trestné činnosti a za obnovení právního řádu, kdykoli je ohrožena národní bezpečnost země. Jeho počátky ve dvacátých letech, v době, kdy byla hlavní metodou sběru zpravodajských informací „systém dokumentace“ - shromažďování základních informací o jednotlivcích. Cílem této diplomové práce je zdůraznit význam kriminálního zpravodajství s ohledem na
situaci v Itálii. Počínaje obecným popisem institutu kriminálního zpravodajství jako takového a jeho modelem využívaným EUROPOLem se práce zaměří na boj proti organizovanému zločinu - například Mafii a ‘Ndranghetě - v Itálii. Konkrétně bude výzkumný projekt zaměřen na spekulace o podezřelé spoluprác orgánů kriminálního pravodajství se samotnými zločineckými organizacemi. Budou rozebrány tři hlavní případové studie - dva historické příklady případy Mattei a Contrada, jakož i nejnovější případ vraždy slovenského novináře Jána Kuciaka. První dvě případové studie zdůrazňují různé aspekty vztahu mezi italským státem a mafiánskými organizacemi, zatímco slovenský případ představuje důležitý příklad politické krize spojené s organizací „Ndrangheta“. Ve svých závěrech práce doplní stávající literaturu o daném tématu a předloží budoucí vyhlídky a výzvy italské protimafiánské jednotky. Projekt se navíc pokusí se lépe objasnit vztah mezi italskou zpravodajskou službou a zločineckými organizacemi. |

| Criminal intelligence or Law Enforcement intelligence has been conceived to fight crime and restore the order of law whenever a country’s national security is at risk. The discipline has its origins in the 1920s, a time in which the main method for intelligence collection was the “dossier system” – the gathering of basic information about individuals. This thesis project aims to underline the relevance of criminal intelligence with regards to the Italian case study. In particular, starting from an outline of both the institution of criminal intelligence per se and the EUROPOL model, the thesis will focus on the fight against organized
crime – such as Mafia and ‘Ndrangheta – in Italy. Specifically, the research project will forward a speculation on the role of criminal intelligence as opposed to its suspect collaboration with criminal organizations themselves. Three main case studies will be taken into account – the two historical examples of the Mattei Case and the Contrada Case as well as the most recent case of the Slovak journalist Ján Kuciak. The first two case studies highlight different aspects of the relationship between the Italian State and Mafia organizations, while the Slovakian case represents an important example of a political crisis linked to the ‘Ndrangheta organization. In conclusion, the thesis will add on the existing literature on the subject and set up the future prospects and challenges of the Italian Anti-Mafia Task Force. Moreover, the project will try to bring more clarity to the relationship between the Italian intelligence service and criminal organizations. |
