Preliminary scope of work in English |
The thesis topic is about the European Union and its institutions from the respect of various fields that serve as lens to approach this topic, namely identity in its intricacies, Euroscepticism as a phenomenon now widely recognized within the EU, but also importantly Grand Strategy, what it is, how it can be defined, and the capability of stretching it to a dimension of Euroscepticism, understanding if EU institutions constitute this grand strategy and how is identity handled in the midst of it all.
The Objective of the research is to highlight and uncover an understanding of the grand strategy, Euroscepticism and identity by correlating the three of them to different degrees. Furthermore, to establish an unconventional period in the EU that could be characterized by a decline, and how identity is part and parcel of the Euroscepticism within, and how the two can further fit into Grand Strategy. The aim is to define each individually, and examine the interaction between the three through EU institutions, including their policy making. |
