Předložený projekt se zabývá životními strategiemi několika druhů drobných motýlů z čeledí Gracillariidae a Cosmopterigidae a jejich odlišnostmi ve vztahu k parazitoidům. Životní cyklus druhů z těchto čeledí motýlů je mnohdy zcela neznámý a stejně tak i druhové společenství jejich parazitoidů. Hlavním cílem projektu je objasnit, zda je některá ze životních strategií hostitelů pro dané druhy parazitoidů výhodnější a jak se mezi sebou druhy hostitelů liší nebo podobají v druhovém spektru parazitoidů. Tyto odlišnosti budou také testovány na dvou druzích hostitelů z různých čeledí žijících na jedné hostitelské rostlině. Na základě laboratorních pozorování budou doplněny údaje o bionomii hostitelů i jejich parazitoidů. U napadených listů vybranými druhy housenek bude dokumentována struktura min a zámotků (měření požrané plochy listu, šířka a délka min/zámotků). Naměřené údaje budou vztažené k druhovému spektru parazitoidů a míře parazitace hostitelů. Předpokladem je též získání velkého množství nových hostitelských záznamů pro jednotlivé parazitoidy. Získané poznatky a metodické postupy bude možné aplikovat ve výzkumu také v jiných částech světa či na jiné spektrum hostitelů.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The project deals with the life strategies of some microlepidopteran species from the Gracillariidae and Cosmopterigidae families and their differences in relation to parasitoids communities. The main goal of the project is to clarify whether any of the life strategies of the hosts is more advantageous for the given species of parasitoids and how the species of hosts differ from each other or are similar in the species spectrum of parasitoids. These differences will also be tested on two species of hosts from different families living on one host plant. Based on laboratory observations, data on the bionomy of hosts and their parasitoids will be added. The structure of mines and cocoons will be documented for infested leaves with selected types of caterpillars. The measured data will be correlated with the species spectrum of parasitoids and the degree of parasitism of the hosts. The project will enable to obtain a large number of new host records for individual parasitoids as well. The acquired knowledge and methodological procedures can be applied in research in other parts of the world or to a different spectrum of hosts.
