Disertační práce se bude skládat z několika dílčích projektů, na kterých se student bude výrazně podílet, a to jak zpracováním vzorků, tak i sepisováním následných výstupů. Tyto projekty se budou týkat ekologických interakcí mezi odlišnými liniemi druhového komplexu G. fossarum v jejich kontaktní zóně v Západních Karpatech a jejich prostorovou distribucí. Cílem disertační práce je detailněji prozkoumat možné rozdíly v ekologii mezi těmito liniemi za účelem lepšího pochopení mechanismů, které mohou vést ke koexistenci linií tohoto velmi divergentního druhového komplexu (diverzifikace nik či koexistence skrze neutrální dynamiku).
Preliminary scope of work in English
The dissertation will consist of several sub-projects to which the student will contribute, both by processing samples and publication of results. These projects will concern the ecological interactions between different lineagess of the G. fossarum species complex in their contact zone in the Western Carpathians and their spatial distribution. The aim of the dissertation is to examine in more detail possible differences in ecology among lineages in order to better understand the mechanisms that may lead to their coexistence (niche diversification or coexistence through neutral dynamics).
