Guidelines
For local climate change scenarios construction, the downscaling of GCM scenarios is necessary. While the different approaches can be used, the trend towards high resolution needs specific land surface interactions to be involved properly, with the option for land-use change effects introduction. This gives a preference to the regional climate modelling, where the emphasis to high resolution leads to convection permitting RCMs. Tha aim of the project is to construct local climate scenarios using downscaling via RCMs results and to study the potential effects of land-use changes on them.
