Preliminary scope of work

Právnické profese a jejich úloha v oblasti boje proti legalizaci výnosů z trestné činnosti je kontroverzní téma, které se zabývá dvojím postavením advokátů a notářů.
Mají status povinných osob dle zákona č. 253/2008 Sb. a s ním spojené povinnosti a na straně druhé mohou plnit roli zprostředkovatele v procesu praní špinavých peněz. Cílem práce je tyto odlišné role právnických profesí představit a zjistit, zda má česká právní úprava v oblasti AML nějaké výrazné nedostatky.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Legal professions and their role in combating money laundering is a controversial topic that deals with the dual status of lawyers and notaries. They have the status of obliged persons in accordance with the AML Act and the obligations associated with it. And on the other hand they can fulfill the role of a gatekeeper in the process of money laundering. The aim of the thesis is to present these different roles of legal professions and to find out whether the Czech legislation in the area of AML has any significant shortcomings.
