Preliminary scope of work

Populační prognózy představují velmi důležitou část podkladů pro plánování a řízení sociálního a ekonomického rozvoje na národní i regionální úrovni. Formulované předpoklady a získané výsledky na různých územních úrovních musí být navzájem propojeny a harmonizovány. Plánovaný výzkum poskytne kvalifikovanou odpověď na otázku, jaký přístup a jaké metody jsou nejvhodnější pro vytvoření kompaktního souboru národních a regionálních prognóz populace v Uzbekistánu. Navrhovaná metodika bude aplikována na empirické údaje poskytnuté národním statistickým úřadem Republiky Uzbekistán.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Population forecasts represents a very important part of the evidence base for the planning and management of social and economic development at national as well as subnational levels. The assumptions formulated and results obtained at different territorial levels has to be mutually inter-connected and harmonized. The planned doctoral research will provide a qualified answer on the question what approach and which methods are the most suitable for producing a compact set of national and regional population forecasts in Uzbekistan. The proposed methodology will be applied on the empirical data provided by the national statistical office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
