Preliminary scope of work |
Práce zkoumá jednotlivé proudy disentu v pobaltských státech, a především identifikuje a srovnává jejich motivace k boji proti tehdejšímu komunistickému režimu. |
Preliminary scope of work in English |
The issue of dissent within the Baltic States during the time of socialist domination remains a largely unexplored topic even today, on which many academics have different opinion. Often, there is a lack of acceptance of differences between these countries. This thesis is comparing the various branches of dissent in the Baltic States and above all to investigates their motivation to fight the then communist regime in their territory. An important object of observation is the area of religion and its role in dissenting. An examination of this topic should result in a deeper understanding of the differences between dissidents in various countries that creates the region we know as the Baltics. Dissidents throughout the Baltics had multiple motivations due to the various national, religious and other differences between Lithuania’s, Latvia’s and Estonia’s population and history. |
