Preliminary scope of work

Práce se zabývá procesem změny pohlaví u lidí, kteří se identifikují jako transgender. Mým cílem je zjistit, jak na tuto problematiku nahlíží ti, jichž se to osobně týká, tedy transgender jedinci. Chci zjistit, jaké jsou jejich zkušenosti se změnou pohlaví a pracovat s komunikačními partnery nacházejícími se v různých fázích změny pohlaví. Práce je kvalitativní a staví na hloubkových rozhovorech s transgender jedinci. Práci chci pojmout jako zachycení procesu změny pohlaví z pohledu transgender, tedy jak se postupně vyvíjí jejich pohled na změnu pohlaví a vnímání vlastní tělesnosti.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The thesis deals with gender transition of people who identify as transgender. My goal is to explore this topic from the point of view of those who deal with this on daily basis, meaning transgender people. I want to focus on their experience with gender transition and work with transgender individuals finding themselves in different states of gender transition. The thesis is qualitative and it's based on interviews with transgender individuals. This thesis aims to present the process of gender transition from the transgender stand of view, meaning how their perception of gender transition and the perception of their own body is changing in time.
