Preliminary scope of work in English
The main theme of the project will be to apply the ideas of the LDA+DMFT to various rare-earth and actinide impurities and dopants located in the bulk and on the surface of the topogical insulators, with emphasis on systematic description of the many-body ground state and excitation spectra. Comparison will be made between the calculated electronic structure and the experimental x-ray circular magetci dicroism, and photoemission spectra. The influence of the spin-orbit coupling and the magnetic anisotropy on the Kondo singlet will be analysed.

Epected skills:
Knowledge of quantum mechanics and mathematical methods in physics. Proficiency with scientific computations and programming.
