Preliminary scope of work in English
The aim of this bachelor thesis, The Depiction of Homosexuality in the Fiction of Christopher Isherwood, is to examine the portrayal of homosexual characters in selected works by the Anglo-American novelist Christopher Isherwood. The thesis attempts to compare Isherwood’s depiction of homosexuality in the novels Goodbye to Berlin and A Single Man, and relate the contrast to the respective cultural and geographical factors and personal circumstances in the author’s life.
