Řada druhů ptáků si udržuje dominanční hierarchie a není známo, jaké parametry fitness tím mohou být ovlivněné. Postavení v hierarchii může mít vliv na přístup k potravě, samicím. Obecně se předpokládá, že lepší pozice v hierarchii je spjatá s vyšším reprodukčním úspěchem. Review na toto téma však neexistuje, úkolem této práce je tedy shrnout poznatky na toto téma.
Preliminary scope of work in English
Many bird species keep dominance hierarchy and it is not known, which parameters of fitness might be influenced by it. The position in hierarchy can influence for example the access to food or females. The general assumption is that the better position in hierarchy is associated with higher reproductive success, however there is no review focusing on this topic. The aim of this thesis is to summarize the findings about this topic.
