Guidelines
In modern telco infrastructures, a multitude of components interact to manage individual calls. The load placed on the components depends on many factors, such as the type of the calls placed, the parties interacting in the call, and so on. This makes thorough performance testing of such an infrastructure difficult.

The goal of the thesis is to identify a component or components of interest in the existing LTE infrastructure (made accessible in cooperation with a local telco provider), and analyze the performance related behavior (identify relevant workload, configure or implement appropriate workload generators, analyze behavior under generated workload, and so on). Where possible, the analysis should delve into the structure of the selected components to provide developer-relevant information, rather than only end-user-visible statistics.
