Preliminary scope of work

Tato práce se bude zabývat kulturními odlišnostmi vietnamských žen rodících v ČR. Měla by posloužit jako poznávací nástroj se snahou přiblížit zdravotnickému personálu kulturní zvyklosti během těhotenství, porodu a šestinedělí ve Vietnamu.Cílem práce je zjistit, zda vietnamským ženám vyhovuje zdravotní péče v ČR vzhledem k jejich zvyklostem. Práce bude rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část se bude zabývat tradicemi, zvyky a rituály během těhotenství, porodu a šestinedělí ve Vietnamu. Praktická část bude zahrnovat kvantitativní dotazníkové šetření, jak vnímají vietnamské ženy péči v ČR, zda je jazyková bariéra hlavní překážkou v komunikaci mezi vietnamskou komunitou a zdravotnickým personálem, a jakým způsobem ho řeší. Toto téma jsem si vybrala, protože si myslím, že tato komunita stále více využívá zdravotní péče v ČR. Ráda bych touto prací přispěla českému zdravotnictví a pomohla zdravotnickému personálu pochopit naši kulturu.

Preliminary scope of work in English

This thesis will deal with cultural differences of Vietnamese women giving birth in Czech Republic. It should serve as a cognitive tool with a desire to bring cultural customs during pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium in Vietnam closer to medical staff. The aim of this thesis is to find out if Vietnamese women are satisfied with the health care in the Czech Republic relative to their habits. The thesis will be divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part will focus on traditions, customs and rituals during pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium in Vietnam. The practical part will include a quantitative questionnaire survey which should find out how Vietnamese women perceive health care in Czech Republic or if the language barrier is the main obstacle in communication between Vietnamese community and medical staff and how they solve it. Another aim of this survey will be to find out whether the language barrier is the main problem in communication between the Vietnamese community and the medical staff. I choose this topic because I think that this community is increasingly using health care in the Czech Republic. I would like to contribute to the Czech health care system and to help medical staff members to understand our culture by this thesis.
