Guidelines |
The goal of the thesis is to design and develop an application, which controls a home alarm system and which runs on the Raspberry Pi computer. The application will consist of the Raspberry Pi computer, a motion sensor, a camera, and a RFID card reader. Users will be able to switch on/off home protection via their RFID tokens. The application will allow to manage users and their tokens. In the case of detected intrusion (i.e., protection is switched on and the motion sensor detects motion), the application will take a photo via the connected camera and send an information to the user.
The application will be locally accessible (i.e., from the home network) but also remotely accessible (i.e., from the Internet). The application will be implemented in Java. |
