Guidelines |
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to document a referee bias in the English Premier League. A recent availability of more detailed data gives an opportunity to revisit established literature on a broader topic of a favoritism under social pressure. In particular, one can estimate how much time is added to the clock by the referee on the top of the usual time extensions that is a consequence of substitutions, goals, penalties and other types of stoppages. This analysis requires use of statistical methods such as the multilevel regression models. |
