Preliminary scope of work in English
The first field of interest of this bachelor thesis is to research if the level of Central bank independence (CBI) is related to the level of rule of law of the particular country.
The second research question of this thesis is to find, if the independence of the central bank of country A is somehow related to the central bank independence of neighboring countries B, C, D (in the same region). This bachelor thesis will examine the international spillovers in the changes in the CBI.
The third research question of this thesis is to find out the relation between Central bank independence and Central bank transparency (CBT).
The main reason why I have chosen this research topic to analyze is that this question has not been mentioned in academic papers before. Also, this research topic is not only important for economists, but we can say that it is interdisciplinary, connecting economics, law and political science.

My thesis can add to the existing academic literature on some topics; especially the relation of rule of law and central bank independence have not been examined before.
In practice, the results of my bachelor thesis can be used as a instruction how to understand the relation between rule of law and central bank independence.

In my bachelor thesis I will use two methods of research.
The relation between rule of law and CBI, and CBI and CBT will be examined by weighted average.
The problematic of the international dimension of central bank independence (how neighbouring countries influence their central bank independence) will be analysed by panel data analysis, and eventually by spatial regression.
I will use World Bank governance data set as a main datasource.
