Preliminary scope of work

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na vilovou architekturu na přelomu 19. a 20. století. Zabývá se příčinami jejího vzniku, účelem, pro který tato architektura vznikala. S ohledem na koncentraci staveb u nás se zabývá především lokalitou hlavního města Prahy a jejího okolí. Práce pojednává blíže o historismu, slohu navracejícího se k umění minulosti. V souvislosti s uměním historismu se práce zabývá vznikem a historickým vývojem města Zbraslav, které se na přelomu 19. a 20. století stalo jedním z oblíbených míst nově vznikající vilové architektury. V tomto městě se zaměřuje na konkrétní vilu Planá růže z roku 1898, která je zajímavou ukázkou pozdního historismu pro své neorenesanční štíty, fresky secesního tvarosloví a rohovou věž na jihovýchodě. V práci je srovnávána s vilou Flora a vilou u Malé řeky 621, které jsou typické také svou rohovou věží na jihovýchodě.

Preliminary scope of work in English

This dissertation focuses on villa architecture at the turn of the 19th and 20th century, the causes for its evolution and its purpose. It will concentrate mainly on the area of the capital city of Prague and its vicinity as this is where the majority of buildings are situated. It pays close attention to historicism, an architectural movement that drew its inspiration from the art of the past. It explores the contemporary attitude towards and perception of this then new style of architecture. Having considered historicism and its influence, this work shifts its focus towards the origin and historical development of the town Zbraslav, which became a popular location for this emerging style of villa architecture at the turn of the 19th and 20th Century. In this town, the primary focus is the villa Plana Ruze from 1898, an interesting example of late historicism due to its neorenaissance gable, secessionist frescoes and a corner tower facing South-East. This is then compared it to the Villa Flora and the Villa u Male Reky 621, which are also characterised by the South East facing corner tower.
