Preliminary scope of work

Cílem práce je shrnout nejnovější poznatky o struktuře cirkadiánního systému s důrazem na cirkadiánní hodiny v mozku savců. Kromě centrálních hodin v suprachiasmatických jádrech se v mozku nachází hodiny i v dalších oblastech, které se podílí na regulaci řady fyziologických funkcí. Práce shrne úlohu periferních hodin v mozku při regulaci těchto funkcí.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The aim of this study is to summarize the recent knowledge on the structure of the circadian system with emphasis on the circadian clocks in the brain. Apart from the central clocks in the suprachiasmatic nuclei, the brain harbor clocks also in other areas which are involved in regulation of physiological functions. The study will summarize role of the peripheral clocks in regulation of these functions.
