| Preliminary scope of work |
| COMPASS je víceúčelový terčový experiment na urychlovači SPS v CERN se širokým fyzikálním programem. Těžiště jeho činnosti spočívá ve zkoumání spinové struktury nukleonů a v hadronové spektroskopii. V roce 2015 COMPASS provedl první pozorování Drellova–Yanova procesu s využitím pionového svazku a polarizovaného protonového terče. Jedná se o první DY experiment s polarizovanými hadrony na světě. Tento proces bude zdrojem unikátních informací o spinové struktuře hadronů. Náplní této práce je přispět k analýze prvních dat z tohoto programu a z testovacího provozu v roce 2014. |
| Preliminary scope of work in English |
| Experiment COMPASS, situated on SPS accelerator in CERN, is multipurpose facility with broad physical programme ranging from hadron spectroscopy to the thorough study of the spin structure of the nucleon. In 2015 the first the first studies of Drell-Yan process using pion beam and polarized proton target were accomplished at COMPASS. This is the first ever study of polarized DY process in the world. These studies will provide unique information spin strucure of hadrons. The aim of the work will be to contribute to the analysis of the first experimental data obtained in DY studies at COMPASS as well as in test experiments in 2014. |
