Diplomová práce si klade za cíl informovat o způsobech, jakými vybraný populární seriál spoluvytváří představu o historickém období Československa, přičemž důraz je kladen na publikum, a to jak na dnešní mladou generaci, která první republiku nezažila, tak na pamětníky. Ve středu zájmu stojí představy a významy, které zvolené dvě generace konstruují na základě: 1) pouhého sledování seriálu, případně jiného typu zprostředkování dané doby (výuka ve škole), 2) sledování podpořené vlastními zkušenostmi o uvedeném historickém období Československa. Teoretická část práce se opírá o odbornou literaturu zabývající se sociální a mediální konstrukcí reality. Cílem praktické části je pak pomocí výzkumů zjistit, do jaké míry spoluutváří současná česká televizní tvorba obraz první republiky.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The purpose of the thesis is to interpret the mechanisms in which the popular TV series co-constructs the audience perception of the first republic era. It puts emphasis on TV audience, namely on the group which consisted of younger generation, which didn’t have the opportunity to live through the era portrayed in the TV series and the old-timers. The thesis focuses on imaginations which are constructed on the basis of: 1) watching the TV series (alternatively knowledge from school), 2) watching the TV series backed up by the viewer's own experience from the historical era of Czechoslovakia. The theoretical part is supported by scholarly bibliography about social and media construction of reality. The subject matter of the research part is analysed by the qualitative method and it aims to show in which ways the TV series shapes the opinions of the audience about the given era.
