Preliminary scope of work
Bakalářská práce Shahina Tehranyho se bude zabývat rolí mitochondrií v biologii nádorových buněk a případného využití těchto organel jako místa kam lze zacílit protinádorové látky a vyvolat tak process mitochondriálně spouštěné apoptózy. Práce shrne současné poznatky o roli mitochondria v nádorové transformaci a pokusí se vytyčit možné nové směry jak vytvořit účinnější a lépe cílená protinádorová léčiva.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The bachelor thesis of Shahin Tehrany will be focused on the role of mitochondria in biology of cancer cells and possible utilization of these organelles as a target site for the delivery of anti-cancer drugs and for induction of mitochondria-mediated apoptosis. The thesis will summarize the current knowledge about the role of mitochondria in the cancerous transformation and it will illustrate some of the promising strategies to develop novel anti-cancer compounds with better selectivity and specificity.
