Magisterská diplomová práce se bude zabývat vlivem válečného konfliktu na produkci televizních seriálů. Konkrétně bude reflektovat válku v Afghánistánu a v Iráku v amerických televizních seriálech. Práce se bude nejprve zabývat teoretickým úvodem, který se bude věnovat mediálním účinkům na společnost či propagandě. Následně budou v práci zaznamenány televizní seriály, ve kterých se nějakým způsobem reflektovaly tyto válečné konflikty. Sledované období je vymezeno začátky jednotlivých konfliktů, tedy od roku 2001, respektive 2003, do současnosti. Práce bude sledovat, v jakých formátech se prvky těchto válek vyskytují. Na vybraných seriálech bude analyzováno, jak je v nich na válku v Afghánistánu a v Iráku nahlíženo, a v jakém kontextu jsou tyto válečné konflikty prezentovány.
Preliminary scope of work in English
Master thesis will address the impact of armed conflict on the production of television series. Specifically, it will reflect on the war in Afghanistan and Iraq in the American television series. The paper will first deal with a theoretical introduction, which will be paid to the effects of media on society or propaganda. Subsequently, the work documents television series, in which the conflicts are reflected. The reference period is defined by the start of each conflict (since 2001 or 2003) to the present. The work will follow the format in which elements of these wars occur. The selected series will be analyzed. Thesis will show, how the war in Afghanistan and Iraq is reflected and in which contexts these military conflicts are presented.
