Cílem bakalářské práce je vysvětlení způsobů růstu u různých skupin organismů, popis fyziologické regulace růstu a možnosti popisu průběhu růstu pomocí růstových křivek. Práce se bude primárně věnovat vysvětlení dvou typů růstu – ukončeného, kdy je tělesný vývoj v určitém momentě zastaven a dále již nepokračuje, a neukončeného, který probíhá po celý život. Práce bude zaměřenat především na růst savců, ptáků a plazů. Každá z uvedených skupin se ve většině případů vyznačuje jen jedním typem růstu. U ptáků a savců nacházíme ukončený růst, naopak u plazů se vyskytuje růst neukončený. Avšak existují i výjimky – a tomu, proč tyto výjimky vlastně existují, jak je to možné a v čem se může lišit růst živočichů ze stejné skupiny, ale s jiným způsobem růstu, se bude zabývat tato práce.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The aims of this bachelor thesis are the explanation of ways of growth in different types of organisms, the description of the physiological regulation of growth and the options of the description of course of growth with growth curves. The thesis will primarily focus on the explanation of two types of growth – a determinate growth, in which the physical development is stopped at a certain moment and it does not continue anymore and indeterminate growth which takes place throughout the life. The thesis will mainly focus on the growth of mammals, birds and reptiles. Each of these groups is characterized by only one type of the growth in most cases. We can find the determinate growth in birds and mammals, while there is the indeterminate growth to be found in reptiles.. However, there are some exceptions – and this thesis will focus on explaining the reasons why these exceptions exist, how is it possible, and wherein the growth of animals within the same taxon but possessing the other way of growth can be different.
