Student by se měl seznámit s teorií monotónních operátorů a poté ji zobecnit i na rovnice ve velmi speciálním tvaru v nereflexivních prostorech funkcí. Student by pak měl studovat souvislost s tzv. problémem minimální plochy.

Preliminary scope of work
Práce je vhodná pouze pro studenty se zálibou v matematické analýze. Studenti by měli zjistit, že ne každá nelineární eliptická rovnice musí mít klasické řešení a nejen to, dokonce slabé řešení nemusí existovat.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The thesis is intended for students interested in mathematical analysis. The main goal is to show that the classical solution may not exist for nonlinear ellitpic equations and in addition the solution may not exist even in the weak sense.
